41:1___When_two_full_years_had_passed，_Pharaoh_had_a_dream:_He_was_standing_by_the_Nile，
又过了整整两年，一天晚上，法老做了一个梦，他梦到自己站在尼罗河边，
41:2___when_out_of_the_river_there_came_up_seven_cows，_sleek_and_fat，_and_they_grazed_among_the_reeds。
有七头母牛从河水里走了上来，在芦苇从中吃草。
这七头母牛的毛皮油亮，体格肥壮。
41:3___After_them，_seven_other_cows，_ugly_and_gaunt，_came_up_out_of_the_Nile_and_stood_beside_those_on_the_riverbank。
紧接着，河水里又走上来另外七头母牛，它们体型瘦弱干枯，丑陋无比。
这七头母牛站在原先那七头母牛旁边。
41:4___And_the_cows_that_were_ugly_and_gaunt_ate_up_the_seven_sleek，_fat_cows。_Then_Pharaoh_woke_up。
然后，这七头瘦弱丑陋的母牛，把那七头油亮肥壮的母牛吞吃了下去。
法老惊醒了。
41:5___He_fell_asleep_again_and_had_a_second_dream:_Seven_heads_of_grain，_healthy_and_good，_were_growing_on_a_single_stalk。
法老重新睡着后，又做了第二个梦。
他梦到一株麦杆上长着七个麦穗，这七个麦穗成熟且饱满。
41:6___After_them，_seven_other_heads_of_grain_sprouted--thin_and_scorched_by_the_east_wind。
紧接着，麦杆上又长出另外七个麦穗。
这七个麦穗细弱干瘪，被东风一吹，就枯萎了。
41:7___The_thin_heads_of_grain_swallowed_up_the_seven_healthy，_full_heads。_Then_Pharaoh_woke_up;_it_had_been_a_dream。
然后，这七个干瘪枯萎的麦穗，吞噬了那七个饱满成熟的麦穗。
法老又醒了，这才惊觉又做了一个梦。
41:8___In_the_morning_his_mind_was_troubled，_so_he_sent_for_all_the_magicians_and_wise_men_of_Egypt。_Pharaoh_told_them_his_dreams，_but_no_one_could_interpret_them_for_him。
法老心中烦乱不安，第二天一早，他就找来埃及境内所有的术士和博士。
法老将昨晚所做的两个梦，讲述了一遍，然而，没有人能知晓其中的征兆。
41:9___Then_the_chief_cupbearer_said_to_Pharaoh，_“Today_I_am_reminded_of_my_shortcomings。
这时，司酒长对法老说：“我今日才记起，有一件事情我一直忘记了。”
41:10__Pharaoh_was_once_angry_with_his_servants，_and_he_imprisoned_me_and_the_chief_baker_in_the_house_of_the_captain_of_the_guard。
“昔日，我和膳食长冒犯了法老，被侍卫长关押起来。”
41:11__Each_of_us_had_a_dream_the_same_night，_and_each_dream_had_a_meaning_of_its_own。
“我和膳食长在同一个晚上，各自做了一个梦，梦中有着令人费解的征兆。”
41:12__Now_a_young_Hebrew_was_there_with_us，_a_servant_of_the_captain_of_the_guard。_We_told_him_our_dreams，_and_he_interpreted_them_for_us，_giving_each_man_the_interpretation_of_his_dream。
“监狱里有一个年轻的希伯来人，他原先是侍卫长的仆人。”
“我们把梦告诉了他，他就解读了出来。”
41:13__And_things_turned_out_exactly_as_he_interpreted_them_to_us:_I_was_restored_to_my_position，_and_the_other_man_was_hanged。“
“后来发生的事情，就跟那年轻希伯来人所预言的一样，我恢复了官职，膳食长被绞死了。”
41:14__So_Pharaoh_sent_for_Joseph，_and_he_was_quickly_brought_from_the_dungeon。_When_he_had_shaved_and_changed_his_clothes，_he_came_before_Pharaoh。
法老便召见约瑟，约瑟因此从监狱里释放了出来。
约瑟修剪了头发，换上干净的衣服，来到法老面前。
41:15__Pharaoh_said_to_Joseph，_“I_had_a_dream，_and_no_one_can_interpret_it。_But_I_have_heard_it_said_of_you_that_when_you_hear_a_dream_you_can_interpret_it。“
法老对约瑟说：“我做了一个梦，但没有人知晓其中的征兆。我听人说，你能解读所有人的梦。”
41:16__“I_cannot_do_it，“_Joseph_replied_to_Pharaoh，_“but_God_will_give_Pharaoh_the_answer_he_desires。“
约瑟说：“我不能解读所有人的梦，不过，既然上帝降梦给法老，就必是有所启示。”
41:17__Then_Pharaoh_said_to_Joseph，_“In_my_dream_I_was_standing_on_the_bank_of_the_Nile，
法老说：“在梦中，我站在尼罗河边，”
41:18__when_out_of_the_river_there_came_up_seven_cows，_fat_and_sleek，_and_they_grazed_among_the_reeds。
“有七头母牛从河水里走了上来，在芦苇从中吃草，它们的毛皮油亮，体格肥壮。”
41:19__After_them，_seven_other_cows_came_up--scrawny_and_very_ugly_and_lean。_I_had_never_seen_such_ugly_cows_in_all_the_land_of_Egypt。
“紧接着，河水里又走上来另外七头母牛，它们的体型瘦弱干枯，丑陋无比，我从未在埃及见到过这般丑陋的母牛。”
41:20__The_lean，_ugly_cows_ate_up_the_seven_fat_cows_that_came_up_first。
“然后，这七头瘦弱丑陋的母牛，将原先那七头肥壮的母牛吞吃了下去。”
41:21__But_even_after_they_ate_them，_no_one_could_tell_that_they_had_done_so;_they_looked_just_as_ugly_as_before。_Then_I_woke_up。
“它们吞吃了那七头肥壮的母牛后，体型没有任何的变化，依然是那样的瘦弱丑恶。”
“这时，我惊醒了。”
41:22__“In_my_dreams_I_also_saw_seven_heads_of_grain，_full_and_good，_growing_on_a_single_stalk。
“后来，我又梦到一株麦杆上长着七个麦穗，这七个麦穗成熟且饱满。”
41:23__After_them，_seven_other_heads_sprouted--withered_and_thin_and_scorched_by_the_east_wind。
“紧接着，麦杆上又长出另外七个麦穗，这七个麦穗细弱干瘪，被东风一吹，就枯萎了。”
41:24__The_thin_heads_of_grain_swallowed_up_the_seven_good_heads。_I_told_this_to_the_magicians，_but_none_could_explain_it_to_me。“
“然后，这七个干瘪枯萎的麦穗，吞噬了那七个饱满成熟的麦穗。”
“我把这两个梦告诉了我的术士们，但是他们都不能解读其中的征兆。”
41:25__Then_Joseph_said_to_Pharaoh，_“The_dreams_of_Pharaoh_are_one_and_the_same。_God_has_revealed_to_Pharaoh_what_he_is_about_to_do。
约瑟对法老说：“法老所做的两个梦，说的是同一件事情。上帝两次降梦于法老，揭示了将要发生的事情。”
41:26__The_seven_good_cows_are_seven_years，_and_the_seven_good_heads_of_grain_are_seven_years;_it_is_one_and_the_same_dream。
“这两个梦，其实只是一个梦。”
“那七头肥壮的母牛，象征着七年。那七个饱满的麦穗，象征的也是七年。”
41:27__The_seven_lean，_ugly_cows_that_came_up_afterward_are_seven_years，_and_so_are_the_seven_worthless_heads_of_grain_scorched_by_the_east_wind:_They_are_seven_years_of_famine。
“紧接着出现的那七头枯瘦丑陋的母牛，象征的也是七年。那七个细弱干瘪、又被东风吹得枯萎了的麦穗，象征的还是七年。”
“只不过，它们象征的是七个荒年。”
41:28__“It_is_just_as_I_said_to_Pharaoh:_God_has_shown_Pharaoh_what_he_is_about_to_do。
“正如我之前所说的，上帝已经对法老揭示了将要发生的事情。”
41:29__Seven_years_of_great_abundance_are_coming_throughout_the_land_of_Egypt，
“埃及将会迎来七个丰收的年头，”
41:30__but_seven_years_of_famine_will_follow_them。_Then_all_the_abundance_in_Egypt_will_be_forgotten，_and_the_famine_will_ravage_the_land。
“接着就是七个荒年。”
“之前七年丰收的积累，会被七个荒年消耗殆尽，饥荒会在这片土地上肆虐。”
41:31__The_abundance_in_the_land_will_not_be_remembered，_because_the_famine_that_follows_it_will_be_so_severe。
“之前的丰收会被遗忘，人们要面对的，是连绵七年的严重饥荒。”
41:32__The_reason_the_dream_was_given_to_Pharaoh_in_two_forms_is_that_the_matter_has_been_firmly_decided_by_God，_and_God_will_do_it_soon。
“上帝连续两次降梦于法老，就是说事情已经迫在眉睫。上帝在提醒法老，要尽快采取应对策略。”
41:33__“And_now_let_Pharaoh_look_for_a_discerning_and_wise_man_and_put_him_in_charge_of_the_land_of_Egypt。
“法老当前首先要做的，是选出一个有远见的智者，让他全面整顿埃及的政务。”
41:34__Let_Pharaoh_appoint_commissioners_over_the_land_to_take_a_fifth_of_the_harvest_of_Egypt_during_the_seven_years_of_abundance。
“此外，法老应当任命一批农政官员，让他们趁着七年的丰收，每年征收田地里生产的五分之一粮食。”
41:35__They_should_collect_all_the_food_of_these_good_years_that_are_coming_and_store_up_the_grain_under_the_authority_of__Pharaoh，_to_be_kept_in_the_cities_for_food。
“这些官员要把征收来的粮食，汇聚到各个城市的粮仓里，让法老的士兵严加看管。”
41:36__This_food_should_be_held_in_reserve_for_the_country，_to_be_used_during_the_seven_years_of_famine_that_will_come_upon_Egypt，_so_that_the_country_may_not_be_ruined_by_the_famine。“
“有了这些储备的粮食，那连续七年的饥荒来临时，埃及人民也尽可支撑过去。”
41:37__The_plan_seemed_good_to_Pharaoh_and_to_all_his_officials。
约瑟提出的建议，法老和在场的官员都非常赞赏。
41:38__So_Pharaoh_asked_them，_“Can_we_find_anyone_like_this_man，_one_in_whom_is_the_spirit_of_God?“
法老对一众官员说：“我们面前的这个人，身体里充满上帝之灵，像这样的人我们去哪里寻找？”
41:39__Then_Pharaoh_said_to_Joseph，_“Since_God_has_made_all_this_known_to_you，_there_is_no_one_so_discerning_and_wise_as_you。
法老对约瑟说：“你能解读出上帝的启示，我们这里没有人比你更加聪明、更加有智慧了。”
41:40__You_shall_be_in_charge_of_my_palace，_and_all_my_people_are_to_submit_to_your_orders。_Only_with_respect_to_the_throne_will_I_be_greater_than_you。“
“我要让你治理我的国家，这个国家的所有人民，会服从你的命令。”
“在这个国家里，你将拥有的权力，仅次于我。”
41:41__So_Pharaoh_said_to_Joseph，_“I_hereby_put_you_in_charge_of_the_whole_land_of_Egypt。“
法老说：“我如今任命你为埃及宰相，负责治理埃及的一切政务。”
41:42__Then_Pharaoh_took_his_signet_ring_from_his_finger_and_put_it_on_Joseph＇s_finger。_He_dressed_him_in_robes_of_fine_linen_and_put_a_gold_chain_around_his_neck。
法老说完，从手上脱下图章戒指，戴到约瑟的手上。
法老让人给约瑟换上了华贵的细麻长袍，把黄金链子戴在他的脖子上。
41:43__He_had_him_ride_in_a_chariot_as_his_second-in-command，_and_men_shouted_before_him，_“Make_way!“_Thus_he_put_him_in_charge_of_the_whole_land_of_Egypt。
法老又让约瑟乘坐在自己的御用副车之上，侍卫在车前大声宣告：“众人下跪！”
就这样，约瑟成为了埃及的宰相。
41:44__Then_Pharaoh_said_to_Joseph，_“I_am_Pharaoh，_but_without_your_word_no_one_will_lift_hand_or_foot_in_all_Egypt。“
法老对约瑟说：“我以法老之名宣布，在埃及这个国家里，没有你的命令，任何人都不得擅自行事。”
41:45__Pharaoh_gave_Joseph_the_name_Zaphenath-Paneah_and_gave_him_Asenath_daughter_of_Potiphera，_priest_of_On，_to_be_his_wife。_And_Joseph_went_throughout_the_land_of_Egypt。
法老为约瑟起了一个埃及名字，叫撒发那忒巴内亚（埃及文：上帝说话，他就得活命）。
法老又为约瑟娶了一个妻子，名叫亚西纳，是安城祭司波提非拉的女儿。
此后，约瑟就出巡埃及的各个地方。
41:46__Joseph_was_thirty_years_old_when_he_entered_the_service_of_Pharaoh_king_of_Egypt。_And_Joseph_went_out_from_Pharaoh＇s_presence_and_traveled_throughout_Egypt。
约瑟蒙法老召见时，正好三十岁。
约瑟出任埃及宰相后，巡行的足迹遍布整个埃及。
41:47__During_the_seven_years_of_abundance_the_land_produced_plentifully。
埃及迎来了七个丰收之年，粮食收获非常丰富。
41:48__Joseph_collected_all_the_food_produced_in_those_seven_years_of_abundance_in_Egypt_and_stored_it_in_the_cities。_In_each_city_he_put_the_food_grown_in_the_fields_surrounding_it。
七年丰收期间，约瑟全力聚敛富余的粮食，储备在各个城市的粮仓里。
各个城市储备的粮食，都是从城市周围的田地征收而来的。
41:49__Joseph_stored_up_huge_quantities_of_grain，_like_the_sand_of_the_sea;_it_was_so_much_that_he_stopped_keeping_records_because_it_was_beyond_measure。
后来，约瑟储备了巨量的粮食，数量如同那海滩上的沙子，根本无法计量。
41:50__Before_the_years_of_famine_came，_two_sons_were_born_to_Joseph_by_Asenath_daughter_of_Potiphera，_priest_of_On。
荒年尚未来临之极，约瑟的妻子亚西纳，生下了两个儿子。
亚西纳是安城祭司波提非拉的女儿。
41:51__Joseph_named_his_firstborn_Manasseh_and_said，_“It_is_because_God_has_made_me_forget_all_my_trouble_and_all_my_father＇s_household。“
约瑟把长子取名为玛拿西（与希伯来语“使……忘记”发音相近）。
约瑟说：“这是因为上帝要让我忘记所有的苦难，以及我的故乡。”
41:52__The_second_son_he_named_Ephraim_and_said，_“It_is_because_God_has_made_me_fruitful_in_the_land_of_my_suffering。“
约瑟把第二个儿子取名为法莲（与希伯来语“给……繁盛”发音相近）。
约瑟说：“这是因为上帝让我在受苦难的地方，得以昌盛。”
41:53__The_seven_years_of_abundance_in_Egypt_came_to_an_end，
埃及渡过七个丰收之年后，
41:54__and_the_seven_years_of_famine_began，_just_as_Joseph_had_said。_There_was_famine_in_all_the_other_lands，_but_in_the_whole_land_of_Egypt_there_was_food。
接踵而来的，是七个荒年，正如约瑟的预言。
各个地方开始闹饥荒了，只有埃及的民众还有一些余粮。
41:55__When_all_Egypt_began_to_feel_the_famine，_the_people_cried_to_Pharaoh_for_food。_Then_Pharaoh_told_all_the_Egyptians，_“Go_to_Joseph_and_do_what_he_tells_you。“
又过了一段时间，埃及民众的余粮也吃光了，他们向法老哀求粮食。
法老说：“你们去找约瑟，按照他说的去做。”
41:56__When_the_famine_had_spread_over_the_whole_country，_Joseph_opened_the_storehouses_and_sold_grain_to_the_Egyptians，_for_the_famine_was_severe_throughout_Egypt。
当时，所有的地方都闹饥荒，饥荒也在埃及蔓延起来。
约瑟下令开放各个城市的粮仓，把粮食卖给当地的埃及人民。
41:57__And_all_the_countries_came_to_Egypt_to_buy_grain_from_Joseph，_because_the_famine_was_severe_in_all_the_world。
所有国家的民众都纷纷前来埃及，向约瑟购买粮食。
因为这一次的饥荒非常严重，波及了整片大地。
