以色列召来所有的儿子，说：“你们都过来我身边，我要告诉你们，你们将来会面对的事情。”
49:2___“Assemble_and_listen，_sons_of_Jacob;_listen_to_your_father_Israel。
“你们都是以色列的儿子，你们要认真的聆听，你们的父亲以色列所说的话。”
49:3___“Reuben，_you_are_my_firstborn，_my_might，_the_first_sign_of_my_strength，_excelling_in_honor，_excelling_in_power。
“流便，你是我的长子，是我在精力最充沛时所生的，你本该是身份最尊贵、拥有最大的权力。”
49:4___Turbulent_as_the_waters，_you_will_no_longer_excel，_for_you_went_up_onto_your_father＇s_bed，_onto_my_couch_and_defiled_it。
“然而，你放纵于情欲，私通父亲的伺妾，使我的床榻蒙受玷污，所以你不能享受长子的尊荣。”
49:5___“Simeon_and_Levi_are_brothers--their_swords_are_weapons_of_violence。

49:6___Let_me_not_enter_their_council，_let_me_not_join_their_assembly，_for_they_have_killed_men_in_their_anger_and_hamstrung_oxen_as_they_pleased。
“你们因为一时意气而杀人，也因为一时欢愉而残害牛只。”
“我不认可，也不能容忍你们的行为。”
49:7___Cursed_be_their_anger，_so_fierce，_and_their_fury，_so_cruel!_I_will_scatter_them_in_Jacob_and_disperse_them_in_Israel。
“你们的凶残与暴戾，会招来诅咒。”
“我要将你们赶出家族，你们会飘零在以色列人居住的土地上。”
49:8___“Judah，_your_brothers_will_praise_you;_your_hand_will_be_on_the_neck_of_your_enemies;_your_father＇s_sons_will_bow_down_to_you。
“至于犹大，你会得所有兄弟的赞美。”
“你的手，会掐住仇敌的颈项，你所有兄弟都要向你跪拜。”
49:9___You_are_a_lion＇s_cub，_O_Judah;_you_return_from_the_prey，_my_son。_Like_a_lion_he_crouches_and_lies_down，_like_a_lioness--who_dares_to_rouse_him?
“我的犹大，你就像一只少壮的狮子，猎取了食物，就返回自己的巢穴。”
“你蹲伏时，就如一只雄狮，你躺卧时，就如一只母狮，没有人敢惹怒于你。”
49:10__The_scepter_will_not_depart_from_Judah，_nor_the_ruler＇s_staff_from_between_his_feet，_until_he_comes_to_whom_it_belongs_and_the_obedience_of_the_nations_is_his。
“犹大掌管着君王的权杖，不会有片刻的疏离，直至那真正的君王出现。”
“真正的君王出现时，所有民族都会向他臣服。”
49:11__He_will_tether_his_donkey_to_a_vine，_his_colt_to_the_choicest_branch;_he_will_wash_his_garments_in_wine，_his_robes_in_the_blood_of_grapes。

“他会在葡萄酒中洗净自己的衣裳，他会用葡萄汁刷涤自己的长袍。”

49:12__His_eyes_will_be_darker_than_wine，_his_teeth_whiter_than_milk。
“他的眼眸比酒色更深沉，他的牙齿比牛奶更洁白。”
49:13__“Zebulun_will_live_by_the_seashore_and_become_a_haven_for_ships;_his_border_will_extend_toward_Sidon。
“至于西布伦，你将会居住在海滨。”
“你所居住的地方会成为船只停泊的港口，你的领地会延伸至西顿。”
49:14__“Issachar_is_a_rawboned_donkey_lying_down_between_two_saddlebags。

49:25__because_of_your_father＇s_God，_who_helps_you，_because_of_the_Almighty，_who_blesses_you_with_blessings_of_the_heavens_above，_blessings_of_the_deep_that_lies_below，_blessings_of_the_breast_and_womb。
“你父亲事奉的上帝会看顾你，那全能的上帝会赐福给你。”
“上帝会赐给你天上的雨露，上帝会赐给你地下的甘泉，上帝会赐给你无数的子裔。”
49:26__Your_father＇s_blessings_are_greater_than_the_blessings_of_the_ancient_mountains，_than_the_bounty_of_the_age-old_hills。_Let_all_these_rest_on_the_head_of_Joseph，_on_the_brow_of_the_prince_among_his_brothers。
“你父亲对你的祝福，远远超过祖先们的祝福。”
“愿这如同巍峨的山岳一般恒久、如同连绵山脉一般博大的祝福，降临到约瑟的头上，降临到这个注定会超越所有兄弟的人的头上。”
49:27__“Benjamin_is_a_ravenous_wolf;_in_the_morning_he_devours_the_prey，_in_the_evening_he_divides_the_plunder。“
“至于便雅悯，你就像是一头饿狼，早上才捕食了猎物，到了晚上，还要去抢夺那战利品。”
49:28__All_these_are_the_twelve_tribes_of_Israel，_and_this_is_what_their_father_said_to_them_when_he_blessed_them，_giving_each_the_blessing_appropriate_to_him。
这就是以色列人十二支派的由来，正如以色列对他的十二个儿子所预言的一般。
以色列按照十二个儿子各自的心性，分别给予了最适合的祝福。
49:29__Then_he_gave_them_these_instructions:_“I_am_about_to_be_gathered_to_my_people。_Bury_me_with_my_fathers_in_the_cave_in_the_field_of_Ephron_the_Hittite，
以色列又嘱咐儿子们：“我的灵魂即将要归于祖先。你们要把我埋葬在麦比拉洞穴，让我可以与祖先在一起。”
49:30__the_cave_in_the_field_of_Machpelah，_near_Mamre_in_Canaan，_which_Abraham_bought_as_a_burial_place_from_Ephron_the_Hittite，_along_with_the_field。
“麦比拉洞穴就在麦比拉的田地间，靠近迦南的幔利地区。”
“麦比拉洞穴原本属于赫人以弗仑，亚伯拉罕把它买了下来，作为家族专用的丧葬之地。”
49:31__There_Abraham_and_his_wife_Sarah_were_buried，_there_Isaac_and_his_wife_Rebekah_were_buried，_and_there_I_buried_Leah。
“亚伯拉罕和他的妻子撒拉就是埋葬在那里，以撒和他的妻子利百加也是埋葬在那里。”
