19:1___The_two_angels_arrived_at_Sodom_in_the_evening，_and_Lot_was_sitting_in_the_gateway_of_the_city。_When_he_saw_them，_he_got_up_to_meet_them_and_bowed_down_with_his_face_to_the_ground。
那两名天使在黄昏时抵达所多玛城。
罗得当时正在城门前闲坐，他见到那两名天使，连忙迎了上去，跪伏在他们身前。
19:2___“My_lords，“_he_said，_“please_turn_aside_to_your_servant＇s_house。_You_can_wash_your_feet_and_spend_the_night_and_then_go_on_your_way_early_in_the_morning。“_“No，“_they_answered，_“we_will_spend_the_night_in_the_square。“
罗得说：“赞美我主耶和华，请两位到仆人的家中，沐足安歇一晚，明早再行上路。”
那两名天使说：“不必，今晚我们在城中广场露宿即可。”
19:3___But_he_insisted_so_strongly_that_they_did_go_with_him_and_entered_his_house。_He_prepared_a_meal_for_them，_baking_bread_without_yeast，_and_they_ate。
罗得再三苦苦恳请，那两名天使见他如此盛情，就随他到家中。
罗得置办了宴席，烤了无酵饼，邀请他们进食。
19:4___Before_they_had_gone_to_bed，_all_the_men_from_every_part_of_the_city_of_Sodom--both_young_and_old--surrounded_the_house。
两名天使准备就寝，这时，所多玛城里的居民，纷拥而至，围住了罗得的住所。
这些民众有老也有少，城中所有男子都汇集了过来。
19:5___They_called_to_Lot，_“Where_are_the_men_who_came_to_you_tonight?_Bring_them_out_to_us_so_that_we_can_have_sex_with_them。“
他们在住所外喊叫：“罗得，今晚到你家中的那两个男子在哪里？快些带他们出来，让我们淫乐。”
19:6___Lot_went_outside_to_meet_them_and_shut_the_door_behind_him
罗得走了出去，把身后的大门关上。
19:7___and_said，_“No，_my_friends。_Don＇t_do_this_wicked_thing。
他对众人说：“不要这样，我的朋友们，请不要做如此邪恶的事。”
19:8___Look，_I_have_two_daughters_who_have_never_slept_with_a_man。_Let_me_bring_them_out_to_you，_and_you_can_do_what_you_like_with_them。_But_don＇t_do_anything_to_these_men，_for_they_have_come_under_the_protection_of_my_roof。“
“我有两个女儿，都是****，我情愿将她们献出来，任凭你们处置。”
“但是，那两人是我的贵客，请不要骚扰他们。”
19:9___“Get_out_of_our_way，“_they_replied。_And_they_said，_“This_fellow_came_here_as_an_alien，_and_now_he_wants_to_play_the_judge!_We＇ll_treat_you_worse_than_them。“_They_kept_bringing_pressure_on_Lot_and_moved_forward_to_break_down_the_door。
那些人叫喊道：“滚开，别挡路。你只是一个外地人，居然胆敢妄断我们的对错，你的下场会很惨的。”
众人说着就一拥而上，想要将大门打破。
19:10__But_the_men_inside_reached_out_and_pulled_Lot_back_into_the_house_and_shut_the_door。
那两名天使伸手把罗得拉进屋里，关上了大门。
19:11__Then_they_struck_the_men_who_were_at_the_door_of_the_house，_young_and_old，_with_blindness_so_that_they_could_not_find_the_door。
他们又使得令门外的民众头昏目眩，怎么也找不着大门的位置。
19:12__The_two_men_said_to_Lot，_“Do_you_have_anyone_else_here--sons-in-law，_sons_or_daughters，_or_anyone_else_in_the_city_who_belongs_to_you?_Get_them_out_of_here，
那两名天使对罗得说：“你还有什么亲人是住在城里的？无论是你的儿女也好，你的女婿也好，你赶快带他们离开这里。”
19:13__because_we_are_going_to_destroy_this_place。_The_outcry_to_the_LORD_against_its_people_is_so_great_that_he_has_sent_us_to_destroy_it。“
“我们是来毁灭这个城市的。”
“此地的罪孽太大，已经闻达我主耶和华，我主因而差遣我们前来行事。”
19:14__So_Lot_went_out_and_spoke_to_his_sons-in-law，_who_were_pledged_to_marry_his_daughters。_He_said，_“Hurry_and_get_out_of_this_place，_because_the_LORD_is_about_to_destroy_the_city!“_But_his_sons-in-law_thought_he_was_joking。
罗得就慌忙出门，找到他的女婿和两个女儿的未婚夫，对他们说：“你们赶快跟我离开这里，耶和华即将要毁灭这座城市。”
然而，他们都不相信，以为罗得是在开玩笑。
19:15__With_the_coming_of_dawn，_the_angels_urged_Lot，_saying，_“Hurry!_Take_your_wife_and_your_two_daughters_who_are_here，_or_you_will_be_swept_away_when_the_city_is_punished。“
天快亮了，两名毁灭天使催促罗得：“快快带你的妻子和女儿离开，否则就要随此地一同毁灭了。”
19:16__When_he_hesitated，_the_men_grasped_his_hand_and_the_hands_of_his_wife_and_of_his_two_daughters_and_led_them_safely_out_of_the_city，_for_the_LORD_was_merciful_to_them。
罗得尚自犹豫不决，两名毁灭天使知道耶和华怜悯罗得，就拉着他及他妻子、女儿的手，把他们带到了城外。
19:17__As_soon_as_they_had_brought_them_out，_one_of_them_said，_“Flee_for_your_lives!_Don＇t_look_back，_and_don＇t_stop_anywhere_in_the_plain!_Flee_to_the_mountains_or_you_will_be_swept_away!“
一名毁灭天使说：“你们赶紧逃命去吧！切记不要回头看，也不要停留在平原上，你们要逃到山上去，否则就会被一同毁灭了。”
19:18__But_Lot_said_to_them，_“No，_my_lords，_please!
罗得对他们说：“我们做不到啊，请两位尊贵的天使怜悯我们！”
19:19__Your_servant_has_found_favor_in_your_eyes，_and_you_have_shown_great_kindness_to_me_in_sparing_my_life。_But_I_can＇t_flee_to_the_mountains;_this_disaster_will_overtake_me，_and_I＇ll_die。
“仆人有幸蒙受你们的搭救，你们仁慈的把仆人救离了这座城市。”
“只是，你仆人的力气不足，难以逃到山上，最后还是会被灾祸波及，死在逃命的路上。”
19:20__Look，_here_is_a_town_near_enough_to_run_to，_and_it_is_small。_Let_me_flee_to_it--it_is_very_small，_isn＇t_it?_Then_my_life_will_be_spared。“
“请看，那边有一座小镇，请你们允许我们逃到那里，以保全我的生命。”
“那小镇真的是小得微不足道。”
19:21__He_said_to_him，_“Very_well，_I_will_grant_this_request_too;_I_will_not_overthrow_the_town_you_speak_of。
一名毁灭天使说：“如此也行，我便应允于你，不毁灭那个小镇。”
19:22__But_flee_there_quickly，_because_I_cannot_do_anything_until_you_reach_it。“_(That_is_why_the_town_was_called_Zoar。)
“只是，你必须在灾祸发生前，逃到那小镇，否则我们也是无能无力了。”
后来，那座小镇被命名为琐珥（与跟希伯来语“小”发音相近）。
19:23__By_the_time_Lot_reached_Zoar，_the_sun_had_risen_over_the_land。
罗得逃到小镇琐珥时，太阳也出来了。
19:24__Then_the_LORD_rained_down_burning_sulfur_on_Sodom_and_Gomorrah--from_the_LORD_out_of_the_heavens。
耶和华对所多玛城和蛾摩拉城所在的区域，降下了猛烈的硫磺火雨。
19:25__Thus_he_overthrew_those_cities_and_the_entire_plain，_including_all_those_living_in_the_cities--and_also_the_vegetation_in_the_land。
这两座城市和所有的居民，以及所在平原的全部生物，连同那平原上生长的草木，都被毁灭了。
19:26__But_Lot＇s_wife_looked_back，_and_she_became_a_pillar_of_salt。
罗得的妻子听到身后的响动，回头看去，她立即变成了一根盐柱。
19:27__Early_the_next_morning_Abraham_got_up_and_returned_to_the_place_where_he_had_stood_before_the_LORD。
第二天清晨，亚伯拉罕早早就起来了，去到昨天和耶和华说话的地方。
19:28__He_looked_down_toward_Sodom_and_Gomorrah，_toward_all_the_land_of_the_plain，_and_he_saw_dense_smoke_rising_from_the_land，_like_smoke_from_a_furnace。
在那高地上，亚伯拉罕看到所多玛城和蛾摩拉城所在的那个平原，烟火升腾，如同一个巨大的熔炉。
19:29__So_when_God_destroyed_the_cities_of_the_plain，_he_remembered_Abraham，_and_he_brought_Lot_out_of_the_catastrophe_that_overthrew_the_cities_where_Lot_had_lived。
上帝毁灭那平原时，顾念他虔诚的信徒亚伯拉罕，特地让其侄罗得逃了出去。
19:30__Lot_and_his_two_daughters_left_Zoar_and_settled_in_the_mountains，_for_he_was_afraid_to_stay_in_Zoar。_He_and_his_two_daughters_lived_in_a_cave。
灾祸过后，罗得不敢留在琐珥，唯恐再被灾祸波及。
他带着两个女儿，搬到山上的一个洞穴居住。
19:31__One_day_the_older_daughter_said_to_the_younger，_“Our_father_is_old，_and_there_is_no_man_around_here_to_lie_with_us，_as_is_the_custom_all_over_the_earth。
一天，他的大女儿对小女儿说：“我们的父亲已经年迈，我们如今住在山上，这里没有其它男人可以跟我们结婚生子。”
19:32__Let＇s_get_our_father_to_drink_wine_and_then_lie_with_him_and_preserve_our_family_line_through_our_father。“
“我们去请父亲喝酒，等他醉了的时候，就跟他同房，唯有这样，我们家族的血脉才可得以延续。”
19:33__That_night_they_got_their_father_to_drink_wine，_and_the_older_daughter_went_in_and_lay_with_him。_He_was_not_aware_of_it_when_she_lay_down_or_when_she_got_up。
当天夜里，她们就灌醉罗得，大女儿趁机与罗德同房。
罗得当时酩酊大醉，不知道所发生的事情。
19:34__The_next_day_the_older_daughter_said_to_the_younger，_“Last_night_I_lay_with_my_father。_Let＇s_get_him_to_drink_wine_again_tonight，_and_you_go_in_and_lie_with_him_so_we_can_preserve_our_family_line_through_our_father。“
第二天，大女儿对小女儿说：“昨晚我已经跟父亲同房了。今天晚上，我们也要把父亲灌醉，然后轮到你跟父亲同房。”
“如此一来，我们就可以延续家族的血脉了。”
19:35__So_they_got_their_father_to_drink_wine_that_night_also，_and_the_younger_daughter_went_and_lay_with_him。_Again_he_was_not_aware_of_it_when_she_lay_down_or_when_she_got_up。
夜里，她们又灌醉罗德，小女儿也趁机与罗德同房。
罗得当时酩酊大醉，也不知道所发生的事情。
19:36__So_both_of_Lot＇s_daughters_became_pregnant_by_their_father。
就这样，罗得的两个女儿都怀孕了。
19:37__The_older_daughter_had_a_son，_and_she_named_him_Moab;_he_is_the_father_of_the_Moabites_of_today。
后来，大女儿生下一个儿子，取名为摩押〔希伯来语：我父亲〕。
如今的摩押人，都是摩押的血脉。
19:38__The_younger_daughter_also_had_a_son，_and_she_named_him_Ben-Ammi;_he_is_the_father_of_the_Ammonites_of_today。
那小女儿也生下了一个儿子，取名为便亚米〔希伯来语：我亲人的儿子〕。
如今的亚扪人，都是便亚米的血脉。
