20:1___Now_Abraham_moved_on_from_there_into_the_region_of_the_Negev_and_lived_between_Kadesh_and_Shur。_For_a_while_he_stayed_in_Gerar，
亚伯拉罕由尼革夫向南边迁徙时，有一个时期，是寄居在基拉耳。
基拉耳位于加低斯和书珥之间。
20:2___and_there_Abraham_said_of_his_wife_Sarah，_“She_is_my_sister。“_Then_Abimelech_king_of_Gerar_sent_for_Sarah_and_took_her。
当时，亚伯拉罕对当地的人声称，撒拉是他妹妹。
基拉耳之王亚比米勒，因此遣人把撒拉带进了他的王宫。
20:3___But_God_came_to_Abimelech_in_a_dream_one_night_and_said_to_him，_“You_are_as_good_as_dead_because_of_the_woman_you_have_taken;_she_is_a_married_woman。“
当晚，上帝在亚比米勒的梦中对他说：“你犯下了不可饶恕的罪行，你带入王宫的那个女子，她是有丈夫的。”
20:4___Now_Abimelech_had_not_gone_near_her，_so_he_said，_“Lord，_will_you_destroy_an_innocent_nation?
亚比米勒当时未曾亲近撒拉，他就说：“耶和华啊，你难道要毁灭一个无辜的国家？”
20:5___Did_he_not_say_to_me，_＇She_is_my_sister，＇_and_didn＇t_she_also_say，_＇He_is_my_brother＇?_I_have_done_this_with_a_clear_conscience_and_clean_hands。“
“那个人明明对我说了，那女子是他妹妹；那女子也承认那个人是她哥哥。”
“我并没有做下有亏良心的事，我的双手没有沾染任何的罪行。”
20:6___Then_God_said_to_him_in_the_dream，_“Yes，_I_know_you_did_this_with_a_clear_conscience，_and_so_I_have_kept_you_from_sinning_against_me。_That_is_why_I_did_not_let_you_touch_her。
上帝在他梦中说：“我知道你并未犯下罪行，为避免你做下不可饶恕的事，我不允许你接近她。”
20:7___Now_return_the_man＇s_wife，_for_he_is_a_prophet，_and_he_will_pray_for_you_and_you_will_live。_But_if_you_do_not_return_her，_you_may_be_sure_that_you_and_all_yours_will_die。“
“你要归还那人的妻子，那人是一个先知，他会替你祈祷，使你的生命得以延续。”
“否则，你及你拥有的一切，将会消亡。”
20:8___Early_the_next_morning_Abimelech_summoned_all_his_officials，_and_when_he_told_them_all_that_had_happened，_they_were_very_much_afraid。
第二天早上，亚比米勒召集所有的官员，说了事情的经过，官员们都惊惧不安。
20:9___Then_Abimelech_called_Abraham_in_and_said，_“What_have_you_done_to_us?_How_have_I_wronged_you_that_you_have_brought_such_great_guilt_upon_me_and_my_kingdom?_You_have_done_things_to_me_that_should_not_be_done。“
亚比米勒然后召见亚伯拉罕，说：“我和你并无仇怨。你可知道，你的所作所为，几乎让我和我的国家陷入不可饶恕的罪行当中？对此，你可有良心上的愧疚？”
20:10__And_Abimelech_asked_Abraham，_“What_was_your_reason_for_doing_this?“
亚比米勒又说：“你为何要这样做？”
20:11__Abraham_replied，_“I_said_to_myself，_＇There_is_surely_no_fear_of_God_in_this_place，_and_they_will_kill_me_because_of_my_wife。＇
亚伯拉罕说：“我原先以为，这个国家的人是不敬畏上帝的，他们会因为垂涎我妻子的美色，而将我杀害。”
20:12__Besides，_she_really_is_my_sister，_the_daughter_of_my_father_though_not_of_my_mother;_and_she_became_my_wife。
“此外，撒拉也确实是我的妹妹，她和我一样，都是出自我父亲的血脉，我后来才娶她为妻的。”
20:13__And_when_God_had_me_wander_from_my_father＇s_household，_I_said_to_her，_＇This_is_how_you_can_show_your_love_to_me:_Everywhere_we_go，_say_of_me，_“He_is_my_brother。“_＇“
“我遵照上帝的指引离开家乡时，我曾对她说，日后无论去到哪里，她都要对人说是我妹妹，以免我因她的美色被人杀害。”
20:14__Then_Abimelech_brought_sheep_and_cattle_and_male_and_female_slaves_and_gave_them_to_Abraham，_and_he_returned_Sarah_his_wife_to_him。
亚比米勒就归还了亚伯拉罕的妻子撒拉，又赏赐了一些牛羊和仆婢给他。
20:15__And_Abimelech_said，_“My_land_is_before_you;_live_wherever_you_like。“
亚比米勒说：“在我的国家里，你可以任意选择地方居住。”
20:16__To_Sarah_he_said，_“I_am_giving_your_brother_a_thousand_shekels_of_silver。_This_is_to_cover_the_offense_against_you_before_all_who_are_with_you;_you_are_completely_vindicated。“
他又对撒拉说：“我送给你哥哥一千锭银子，作为此事的补偿。我也愿意在众人面前，证明你的清白。”
20:17__Then_Abraham_prayed_to_God，_and_God_healed_Abimelech，_his_wife_and_his_slave_girls_so_they_could_have_children_again，
后来，亚伯拉罕向上帝祈祷。
上帝恢复了亚比米勒和他的妻子、还有他的一众女仆的生育能力，
20:18__for_the_LORD_had_closed_up_every_womb_in_Abimelech＇s_household_because_of_Abraham＇s_wife_Sarah。
因为此前，作为夺走撒拉的惩罚，耶和华封闭了亚比米勒及其所有家人的生育能力。
