8:1__But_God_remembered_Noah_and_all_the_wild_animals_and_the_livestock_that_were_with_him_in_the_ark，_and_he_sent_a_wind_over_the_earth，_and_the_waters_receded。
后来，上帝顾念挪亚和安置在方舟里的那些生灵。
就让强风吹扫大地，洪水开始消退了。
8:2__Now_the_springs_of_the_deep_and_the_floodgates_of_the_heavens_had_been_closed，_and_the_rain_had_stopped_falling_from_the_sky。
地上的泉渊河流不再喷涌，天上的水闸关闭了，雨也停息了。
8:3__The_water_receded_steadily_from_the_earth。_At_the_end_of_the_hundred_and_fifty_days_the_water_had_gone_down，
然而，这泛滥的洪水要完全消退，也需要一百五十天。
8:4__and_on_the_seventeenth_day_of_the_seventh_month_the_ark_came_to_rest_on_the_mountains_of_Ararat。
这一年的七月十七日，方舟停泊于亚拉腊山一带。
8:5__The_waters_continued_to_recede_until_the_tenth_month，_and_on_the_first_day_of_the_tenth_month_the_tops_of_the_mountains_became_visible。
随着洪水的日渐消退，到了十月一日这天，一些高峰已经露出水面。
8:6__After_forty_days_Noah_opened_the_window_he_had_made_in_the_ark
又过了四十天，挪亚打开了方舟顶部的天窗，
8:7__and_sent_out_a_raven，_and_it_kept_flying_back_and_forth_until_the_water_had_dried_up_from_the_earth。
他放出了一只乌鸦，这乌鸦在天空中盘旋往复，它要一直飞到地上的水都干去。
8:8__Then_he_sent_out_a_dove_to_see_if_the_water_had_receded_from_the_surface_of_the_ground。
挪亚又放出一个鸽子，让它飞去其它的地方，看是否有干地出现。
8:9__But_the_dove_could_find_no_place_to_set_its_feet_because_there_was_water_over_all_the_surface_of_the_earth;_so_it_returned_to_Noah_in_the_ark。_He_reached_out_his_hand_and_took_the_dove_and_brought_it_back_to_himself_in_the_ark。
大地上到处都是水，鸽子始终找不到落脚的地方，就飞了回来。
挪亚伸手把它接回了方舟。
8:10__He_waited_seven_more_days_and_again_sent_out_the_dove_from_the_ark。
过了七天，挪亚又一次把鸽子放了出去。
8:11__When_the_dove_returned_to_him_in_the_evening，_there_in_its_beak_was_a_freshly_plucked_olive_leaf!_Then_Noah_knew_that_the_water_had_receded_from_the_earth。
到了晚上，鸽子飞了回来，它嘴里衔着一片新鲜的橄榄树叶子。
挪亚清楚，这表示已经有干地出现了。
8:12__He_waited_seven_more_days_and_sent_the_dove_out_again，_but_this_time_it_did_not_return_to_him。
又过了七天，挪亚把鸽子又放了出去。
这一次，鸽子没有飞回来了。
8:13__By_the_first_day_of_the_first_month_of_Noah＇s_six_hundred_and_first_year，_the_water_had_dried_up_from_the_earth。_Noah_then_removed_the_covering_from_the_ark_and_saw_that_the_surface_of_the_ground_was_dry。
挪亚在六百零一岁那年的一月一日，打开了方舟的天窗，向外望去，洪水已经从大地上消退了。
8:14__By_the_twenty-seventh_day_of_the_second_month_the_earth_was_completely_dry。
到了二月二十七日，大地已经完全干透了。
8:15__Then_God_said_to_Noah，
此时，上帝对挪亚说：
8:16__“Come_out_of_the_ark，_you_and_your_wife_and_your_sons_and_their_wives。
“你们可以离开方舟了，你和你的妻子、儿子、儿媳，都从方舟中出来吧。”
8:17__Bring_out_every_kind_of_living_creature_that_is_with_you--the_birds，_the_animals，_and_all_the_creatures_that_move_along_the_ground--so_they_can_multiply_on_the_earth_and_be_fruitful_and_increase_in_number_upon_it。“
“那些走兽、爬虫和禽鸟，你也要把它们带出来，让它们在大地上重新繁衍出众多的后代。”
8:18__So_Noah_came_out，_together_with_his_sons_and_his_wife_and_his_sons＇_wives。
于是，挪亚带着妻子、儿子和儿媳走出了方舟。
8:19__All_the_animals_and_all_the_creatures_that_move_along_the_ground_and_all_the_birds--everything_that_moves_on_the_earth--came_out_of_the_ark，_one_kind_after_another。
接着，各种走兽、爬虫和禽鸟也依次出了方舟。
8:20__Then_Noah_built_an_altar_to_the_LORD_and，_taking_some_of_all_the_clean_animals_and_clean_birds，_he_sacrificed_burnt_offerings_on_it。
挪亚为耶和华上帝修筑了一座祭坛，选取那些洁净的走兽和禽鸟，进行燔祭。
_____（注：燔祭乃是将祭品的血液去净后，在祭坛上火烧成灰，表示献祭者毫无保留的完全奉献。燔祭的原文有上升的意思，象征敬拜与祷告随着祭品的馨香闻达于上帝。）
8:21__The_LORD_smelled_the_pleasing_aroma_and_said_in_his_heart:_“Never_again_will_I_curse_the_ground_because_of_man，_even_though_every_inclination_of_his_heart_is_evil_from_childhood。_And_never_again_will_I_destroy_all_living_creatures，_as_I_have_done。
耶和华上帝闻着祭品的香气，心里想：“清洗整个大地，这种事情不能再发生了。”
“人虽生来就存有恶念，地上的其它生灵，却是不应蒙受同样的诅咒。”
8:22__“As_long_as_the_earth_endures，_seedtime_and_harvest，_cold_and_heat，_summer_and_winter，_day_and_night_will_never_cease。“
“此后，只要大地一日尚存，大地上的春播秋收、夏暑冬寒、白天黑夜，将会循环不息。”
