13:1___So_Abram_went_up_from_Egypt_to_the_Negev，_with_his_wife_and_everything_he_had，_and_Lot_went_with_him。
亚伯兰带着妻子和财物，以及侄子罗得，离开了埃及，又回到尼革夫。
13:2___Abram_had_become_very_wealthy_in_livestock_and_in_silver_and_gold。
这时，亚伯兰拥有非常多的金银和牲畜。
13:3___From_the_Negev_he_went_from_place_to_place_until_he_came_to_Bethel，_to_the_place_between_Bethel_and_Ai_where_his_tent_had_been_earlier
他们从尼革夫又一路往回走，来到了伯特利和艾之间的山地。
他们此前曾在这里扎营住宿。
13:4___and_where_he_had_first_built_an_altar。_There_Abram_called_on_the_name_of_the_LORD。
他们曾在这里修建了一座祭坛，亚伯兰便在祭坛上向耶和华祈祷。
13:5___Now_Lot，_who_was_moving_about_with_Abram，_also_had_flocks_and_herds_and_tents。
一直追随亚伯兰的罗得，也拥有了非常多的羊群、牛群、奴仆以及财物。
13:6___But_the_land_could_not_support_them_while_they_stayed_together，_for_their_possessions_were_so_great_that_they_were_not_able_to_stay_together。
然而，他们当时居住的地方，根本容纳不下两人的牲畜和奴仆。
13:7___And_quarreling_arose_between_Abram＇s_herdsmen_and_the_herdsmen_of_Lot。_The_Canaanites_and_Perizzites_were_also_living_in_the_land_at_that_time。
亚伯兰的牧人和罗得的牧人，因此经常发生水土纷争。
当时，他们居住的地方，同时还有世代在那里生活的迦南人和比利洗人。
13:8___So_Abram_said_to_Lot，_“Let＇s_not_have_any_quarreling_between_you_and_me，_or_between_your_herdsmen_and_mine，_for_we_are_brothers。
亚伯兰对罗得说：“我们一向情同手足，我们不要相争，我们的牧人也不要相争。”
13:9___Is_not_the_whole_land_before_you?_Let＇s_part_company。_If_you_go_to_the_left，_I＇ll_go_to_the_right;_if_you_go_to_the_right，_I＇ll_go_to_the_left。“
“土地一直都在我们的脚下，我们也该分开了。”
“你若是选择向左，我便向右而去；你若是选择向右，我便向左而去。”
13:10__Lot_looked_up_and_saw_that_the_whole_plain_of_the_Jordan_was_well_watered，_like_the_garden_of_the_LORD，_like_the_land_of_Egypt，_toward_Zoar。_(This_was_before_the_LORD_destroyed_Sodom_and_Gomorrah。)
罗得经过查探，发现在约旦河至琐珥之间，有一片水草丰茂的平原。
那平原，土地如同埃及一般肥沃，水草丰茂的程度，简直比得上传说中的伊甸园。
（那时，所多玛和蛾摩拉还没有被耶和华摧毁。）
13:11__So_Lot_chose_for_himself_the_whole_plain_of_the_Jordan_and_set_out_toward_the_east。_The_two_men_parted_company:
罗得就选择向东而行，他带着自己的牲畜和奴仆财物，朝约旦河平原进发。
两人就此分开了。
13:12__Abram_lived_in_the_land_of_Canaan，_while_Lot_lived_among_the_cities_of_the_plain_and_pitched_his_tents_near_Sodom。
亚伯兰居住在迦南地区。
罗得居住在约旦河平原，后来，他又一路迁移到所多玛城。
13:13__Now_the_men_of_Sodom_were_wicked_and_were_sinning_greatly_against_the_LORD。
所多玛城的居民，心性非常邪恶，他们日后会被耶和华审判。
13:14__The_LORD_said_to_Abram_after_Lot_had_parted_from_him，_“Lift_up_your_eyes_from_where_you_are_and_look_north_and_south，_east_and_west。
和罗得分开后，耶和华对亚伯兰说：
“你放长目光，往东看，往南看，往西看，往北看。”
13:15__All_the_land_that_you_see_I_will_give_to_you_and_your_offspring_forever。
“你所看到的土地，我会赐给你以及你的后裔，这些土地会永远属于你们。”
13:16__I_will_make_your_offspring_like_the_dust_of_the_earth，_so_that_if_anyone_could_count_the_dust，_then_your_offspring_could_be_counted。
“我会使你的后裔繁荣昌盛，人口多得如同那地上的微尘，数之不尽。”
13:17__Go，_walk_through_the_length_and_breadth_of_the_land，_for_I_am_giving_it_to_you。“
“去吧，去巡视你的土地吧，那是我赐给你的。”
13:18__So_Abram_moved_his_tents_and_went_to_live_near_the_great_trees_of_Mamre_at_Hebron，_where_he_built_an_altar_to_the_LORD。
后来，亚伯兰迁徙到希伯仑，在幔利管治的橡树地区定居了下来。
在那里，他又为耶和华修筑了一座祭坛。
