34:1___Now_Dinah，_the_daughter_Leah_had_borne_to_Jacob，_went_out_to_visit_the_women_of_the_land。
一天，底拿外出探访当地的妇女。
底拿是利亚为雅各所生的女儿。
34:2___When_Shechem_son_of_Hamor_the_Hivite，_the_ruler_of_that_area，_saw_her，_he_took_her_and_violated_her。
希未人示剑遇见了底拿，把她抢回家中，对她进行了侵犯。
示剑是示剑城之主哈抹的儿子。
34:3___His_heart_was_drawn_to_Dinah_daughter_of_Jacob，_and_he_loved_the_girl_and_spoke_tenderly_to_her。
示剑非常迷恋底拿，用尽甜言蜜语去讨好她。
34:4___And_Shechem_said_to_his_father_Hamor，_“Get_me_this_girl_as_my_wife。“
示剑对父亲哈抹说：“我要娶这个女子为妻。”
34:5___When_Jacob_heard_that_his_daughter_Dinah_had_been_defiled，_his_sons_were_in_the_fields_with_his_livestock;_so_he_kept_quiet_about_it_until_they_came_home。
雅各听闻女儿底拿被抢走时，他的一众儿子都在田野劳作和放牧牲畜。
他沉默不语，等待儿子们归来。
34:6___Then_Shechem＇s_father_Hamor_went_out_to_talk_with_Jacob。
这个时候，示剑的父亲哈抹，前来拜访雅各。
34:7___Now_Jacob＇s_sons_had_come_in_from_the_fields_as_soon_as_they_heard_what_had_happened。_They_were_filled_with_grief_and_fury，_because_Shechem_had_done_a_disgraceful_thing_in_Israel_by_lying_with_Jacob＇s_daughter--a_thing_that_should_not_be_done。
雅各的儿子们听到妹妹被抢走的消息，纷纷赶回家中，他们都悲愤交加。
示剑抢走雅各的女儿，又侵犯了她——这种恶事对以色列家族来说，是不可饶恕的。
34:8___But_Hamor_said_to_them，_“My_son_Shechem_has_his_heart_set_on_your_daughter。_Please_give_her_to_him_as_his_wife。
哈抹对他们说：“我儿子爱慕你家的底拿，我是前来求亲的。”
34:9___Intermarry_with_us;_give_us_your_daughters_and_take_our_daughters_for_yourselves。
“若是你们应允这门亲事，此后我们两族就可以彼此通婚。”
34:10__You_can_settle_among_us;_the_land_is_open_to_you。_Live_in_it，_trade_in_it，_and_acquire_property_in_it。“
“如此一来，你们就真正算是在这里落地生根，你们可以任意的做买卖、你们可以在这里购置产业。”
34:11__Then_Shechem_said_to_Dinah＇s_father_and_brothers，_“Let_me_find_favor_in_your_eyes，_and_I_will_give_you_whatever_you_ask。
示剑对雅各和他的儿子们说：“我是满怀诚意和善意前来的，你们提出的任何要求，我都会应允。”
34:12__Make_the_price_for_the_bride_and_the_gift_I_am_to_bring_as_great_as_you_like，_and_I＇ll_pay_whatever_you_ask_me。_Only_give_me_the_girl_as_my_wife。“
“无论你们索要多少的聘礼，为了能迎娶底拿为妻子，我会如数奉上的。”
34:13__Because_their_sister_Dinah_had_been_defiled，_Jacob＇s_sons_replied_deceitfully_as_they_spoke_to_Shechem_and_his_father_Hamor。
雅各的儿子们，为了洗雪妹妹被侵犯的耻辱，定下了一个计谋。
34:14__They_said_to_them，_“We_can＇t_do_such_a_thing;_we_can＇t_give_our_sister_to_a_man_who_is_not_circumcised。_That_would_be_a_disgrace_to_us。
他们对示剑和他的父亲哈抹说：“一个没有受割礼的人，是不能够娶我们的妹妹为妻子的，否则就是我们的耻辱。”
34:15__We_will_give_our_consent_to_you_on_one_condition_only:_that_you_become_like_us_by_circumcising_all_your_males。
“我们只有一个要求，那就是你们的所有男子，都必须像我们一样接受割礼。”
“如果你们做到了，我们就答允你的求亲。”
34:16__Then_we_will_give_you_our_daughters_and_take_your_daughters_for_ourselves。_We＇ll_settle_among_you_and_become_one_people_with_you。
“此后，我们双方将彼此通婚，我们会在此地落地生根，跟你们融合成一个民族。”
34:17__But_if_you_will_not_agree_to_be_circumcised，_we＇ll_take_our_sister_and_go。“
“如果你们不同意接受割礼，那么，我们就带着妹妹离开此地。”
34:18__Their_proposal_seemed_good_to_Hamor_and_his_son_Shechem。
哈抹和他的儿子示剑，觉得他们的要求非常合情理。
34:19__The_young_man，_who_was_the_most_honored_of_all_his_father＇s_household，_lost_no_time_in_doing_what_they_said，_because_he_was_delighted_with_Jacob＇s_daughter。
示剑是城中的少主人，他非常迷恋底拿，又少年轻狂，回去后就马上就推动割礼一事。
34:20__So_Hamor_and_his_son_Shechem_went_to_the_gate_of_their_city_to_speak_to_their_fellow_townsmen。
哈抹和儿子示剑站在城门前，召集了城中的居民，说：
34:21__“These_men_are_friendly_toward_us，“_they_said。_“Let_them_live_in_our_land_and_trade_in_it;_the_land_has_plenty_of_room_for_them。_We_can_marry_their_daughters_and_they_can_marry_ours。
“住在城外的那些异乡人，一直与我们和睦相处。”
“我们有足够的土地来容纳他们，所以我建议他们在这里定居下来，让他们在这里做买卖，让我们双方彼此通婚。”
34:22__But_the_men_will_consent_to_live_with_us_as_one_people_only_on_the_condition_that_our_males_be_circumcised，_as_they_themselves_are。
“他们将会融入我们，使我们的城市更加繁盛。”
“然而，他们有一个要求，就是要求我们所有的男子，都必须像他们一样，接受割礼。”
34:23__Won＇t_their_livestock，_their_property_and_all_their_other_animals_become_ours?_So_let_us_give_our_consent_to_them，_and_they_will_settle_among_us。“
“我们应当同意这个要求，这样一来，他们就会在这里落地生根，成为我们的族人。”
“他们拥有的牲畜和财富，也就成为我们的牲畜和我们的财富。”
34:24__All_the_men_who_went_out_of_the_city_gate_agreed_with_Hamor_and_his_son_Shechem，_and_every_male_in_the_city_was_circumcised。
聚集在城门前的居民，纷纷同意哈抹和他儿子示剑的建议。
就这样，城中的所有男子都行了割礼。
34:25__Three_days_later，_while_all_of_them_were_still_in_pain，_two_of_Jacob＇s_sons，_Simeon_and_Levi，_Dinah＇s_brothers，_took_their_swords_and_attacked_the_unsuspecting_city，_killing_every_male。
行割礼的第三天，城中男子的割礼伤口，还在疼痛难忍之际。
雅各的两个儿子，西缅和利未，手执着刀剑，趁着城中毫无防备，把所有男子都杀死了。
34:26__They_put_Hamor_and_his_son_Shechem_to_the_sword_and_took_Dinah_from_Shechem＇s_house_and_left。
他们杀死了哈抹和他的儿子示剑，把妹妹底拿救了出来。
34:27__The_sons_of_Jacob_came_upon_the_dead_bodies_and_looted_the_city_where_their_sister_had_been_defiled。
雅各其余的儿子，为了洗雪妹妹被侵犯的耻辱，趁着这次屠杀，洗劫了整个示剑城。
34:28__They_seized_their_flocks_and_herds_and_donkeys_and_everything_else_of_theirs_in_the_city_and_out_in_the_fields。
他们抢掠了城中的羊群、牛群、驴群，和所有的粮食。
34:29__They_carried_off_all_their_wealth_and_all_their_women_and_children，_taking_as_plunder_everything_in_the_houses。
他们又抢掠了城中的货财、孩子和妇女。
整个城市都被他们抢掠一空。
34:30__Then_Jacob_said_to_Simeon_and_Levi，_“You_have_brought_trouble_on_me_by_making_me_a_stench_to_the_Canaanites_and_Perizzites，_the_people_living_in_this_land。_We_are_few_in_number，_and_if_they_join_forces_against_me_and_attack_me，_I_and_my_household_will_be_destroyed。“
事发后，雅各对西缅和利未说：“你们的所作所为，等如把我们整个家族陷入死地当中。”
“今后，在盘踞此地的迦南人和比利洗人眼里，我就是恶名昭彰之人。我们的族人数量稀少，若是他们联合起来攻击我们，那么等待我们的，只会是灭亡。”
34:31__But_they_replied，_“Should_he_have_treated_our_sister_like_a_prostitute?“
西缅和利未说：“西缅和利未说：“难道我们就任由妹妹被人抢去淫辱，什么也不做？”
