43:1___Now_the_famine_was_still_severe_in_the_land。
饥荒在大地上蔓延。
43:2___So_when_they_had_eaten_all_the_grain_they_had_brought_from_Egypt，_their_father_said_to_them，_“Go_back_and_buy_us_a_little_more_food。“
以色列看到从埃及带回来的粮食，已经吃完了，就对一众儿子说：“你们再去买一些粮食回来。”
43:3___But_Judah_said_to_him，_“The_man_warned_us_solemnly，_＇You_will_not_see_my_face_again_unless_your_brother_is_with_you。＇
犹大说：“那埃及宰相很严厉的告诫我们，他说，‘你们不把那最小的弟弟带来这里，就休想见得着我。’”
43:4___If_you_will_send_our_brother_along_with_us，_we_will_go_down_and_buy_food_for_you。
“如果你让弟弟随我们一同出发，我们就马上南下埃及，为你购买粮食。”
43:5___But_if_you_will_not_send_him，_we_will_not_go_down，_because_the_man_said_to_us，_＇You_will_not_see_my_face_again_unless_your_brother_is_with_you。＇“
“你若是不让弟弟去，我们去了也没用。因为那埃及的宰相说了，‘你们不把那最小的弟弟带来这里，就休想见得着我。’”
43:6___Israel_asked，_“Why_did_you_bring_this_trouble_on_me_by_telling_the_man_you_had_another_brother?“
以色列说：“为何你们给我惹来麻烦？你们为何会对那埃及宰相说，你们还有一个弟弟呢？”
43:7___They_replied，_“The_man_questioned_us_closely_about_ourselves_and_our_family。_＇Is_your_father_still_living?＇_he_asked_us。_＇Do_you_have_another_brother?＇_We_simply_answered_his_questions。_How_were_we_to_know_he_would_say，_＇Bring_your_brother_down_here＇?“
一众儿子说：“那埃及的宰相，非常详细询问我们的家庭状况。他问我们，‘你们的父亲还健在吗？’‘你们还有没有其他的兄弟？’”
“我们照直回答了他的问题，哪里想到他会说，‘把你们最小的弟弟带到这里来’！”
43:8___Then_Judah_said_to_Israel_his_father，_“Send_the_boy_along_with_me_and_we_will_go_at_once，_so_that_we_and_you_and_our_children_may_live_and_not_die。
犹大对以色列说：“请让弟弟随我们一同去吧。”
“只有这样，我们才能买来粮食；只有这样，我们和我们的孩子，才能活下去。”
43:9___I_myself_will_guarantee_his_safety;_you_can_hold_me_personally_responsible_for_him。_If_I_do_not_bring_him_back_to_you_and_set_him_here_before_you，_I_will_bear_the__before_you_all_my_life。
“我保证弟弟的安全，他若是有任何的闪失，都是我的责任。”
“我若不能把弟弟平安带回你身边，我情愿一生担负那罪责。”
43:10__As_it_is，_if_we_had_not_delayed，_we_could_have_gone_and_returned_twice。“
“你若是早点让弟弟随我们出发，如今至少来回了两次。”
43:11__Then_their_father_Israel_said_to_them，_“If_it_must_be，_then_do_this:_Put_some_of_the_best_products_of_the_land_in_your_bags_and_take_them_down_to_the_man_as_a_gift--a_little_balm_and_a_little_honey，_some_spices_and_myrrh，_some_pistachio_nuts_and_almonds。
以色列对一众儿子说：“若是便雅悯必须跟你们去，那就带上我们这里最好的特产，去献给那埃及宰相作为礼物吧。”
“那乳香、蜂蜜、香料、没药、坚果和杏仁，你们每样都要选出一些品质最好的，精心的包装起来。”
43:12__Take_double_the_amount_of_silver_with_you，_for_you_must_return_the_silver_that_was_put_back_into_the_mouths_of_your_sacks。_Perhaps_it_was_a_mistake。
“这次你们要带上双倍的钱银，一定要归还上次放置在你们麻袋里的那些钱银。”
“上次也许是他们不小心搞错了。”
43:13__Take_your_brother_also_and_go_back_to_the_man_at_once。
“你们带上便雅悯，去见那埃及宰相吧。”
43:14__And_may_God_Almighty_grant_you_mercy_before_the_man_so_that_he_will_let_your_other_brother_and_Benjamin_come_back_with_you。_As_for_me，_if_I_am_bereaved，_I_am_bereaved。“
“愿全能的上帝，使那埃及宰相怜悯你们，使西缅和便雅悯能平安返回。”
“若是我命中注定要再次丧子，我唯有承受了！”
43:15__So_the_men_took_the_gifts_and_double_the_amount_of_silver，_and_Benjamin_also。_They_hurried_down_to_Egypt_and_presented_themselves_to_Joseph。
约瑟的哥哥们带着礼物和双倍的钱银，携同便雅悯南下埃及，来到约瑟的身前。
43:16__When_Joseph_saw_Benjamin_with_them，_he_said_to_the_steward_of_his_house，_“Take_these_men_to_my_house，_slaughter_an_animal_and_prepare_dinner;_they_are_to_eat_with_me_at_noon。“
约瑟看到便雅悯站在他们当中，就对家中的管事说：“你带这些人到我家中，你要宰杀牲畜，预备宴席，我中午会和他们一起饮宴。”
43:17__The_man_did_as_Joseph_told_him_and_took_the_men_to_Joseph＇s_house。
那管事遵照吩咐，把他们带到约瑟的家中。
43:18__Now_the_men_were_frightened_when_they_were_taken_to_his_house。_They_thought，_“We_were_brought_here_because_of_the_silver_that_was_put_back_into_our_sacks_the_first_time。_He_wants_to_attack_us_and_overpower_us_and_seize_us_as_slaves_and_take_our_donkeys。“
约瑟的一众兄弟被带到约瑟的家中，都吓坏了。
他们心里想：“我们被带到这里，一定是与上次放在我们麻袋里的钱银有关，他设下了这个圈套，恐怕是要使我们获罪成为他的奴隶，又趁机强占我们的驴子。”
43:19__So_they_went_up_to_Joseph＇s_steward_and_spoke_to_him_at_the_entrance_to_the_house。
他们就靠近那管事，站在门前跟他说话。
43:20__“Please，_sir，“_they_said，_“we_came_down_here_the_first_time_to_buy_food。
他们说：“管事先生，请听我们说。我们上次来这里购买粮食，”
43:21__But_at_the_place_where_we_stopped_for_the_night_we_opened_our_sacks_and_each_of_us_found_his_silver--the_exact_weight--in_the_mouth_of_his_sack。_So_we_have_brought_it_back_with_us。
“回去的路上，在晚上歇息时，我们打开了麻袋，发现用来购买粮食的钱银，分毫不少的放在麻袋里。”
“我们这次，把那些钱银又带了过来。”
43:22__We_have_also_brought_additional_silver_with_us_to_buy_food。_We_don＇t_know_who_put_our_silver_in_our_sacks。“
“我们又另外带了用来购买粮食的钱银。”
“我们实在不知道，上次是谁把那些钱银放在我们的麻袋里！”
43:23__“It＇s_all_right，“_he_said。_“Don＇t_be_afraid。_Your_God，_the_God_of_your_father，_has_given_you_treasure_in_your_sacks;_I_received_your_silver。“_Then_he_brought_Simeon_out_to_them。
那管事说：“你们不用担心，也不用害怕。你们上次用来购买粮食的钱银，我们确实已经收下了。出现在你们麻袋里的钱银，那是你们和你们父亲事奉的上帝，赐给你们的。”
那管事又把西缅带来见他们。
43:24__The_steward_took_the_men_into_Joseph＇s_house，_gave_them_water_to_wash_their_feet_and_provided_fodder_for_their_donkeys。
那管事把他们请进约瑟的家里，取来清水让他们洗脚，又取了草料喂食他们的驴子。
43:25__They_prepared_their_gifts_for_Joseph＇s_arrival_at_noon，_because_they_had_heard_that_they_were_to_eat_there。
约瑟的一众兄弟知道约瑟中午会和他们饮宴，就把带来的礼物准备好。
43:26__When_Joseph_came_home，_they_presented_to_him_the_gifts_they_had_brought_into_the_house，_and_they_bowed_down_before_him_to_the_ground。
约瑟回到家中时，他们跪拜在他身前，献上了礼物。
43:27__He_asked_them_how_they_were，_and_then_he_said，_“How_is_your_aged_father_you_told_me_about?_Is_he_still_living?“
约瑟向他们问安，又说：“你们的父亲，就是上次你们提到的那位老人家，还健在吗？他身体可安康？”
43:28__They_replied，_“Your_servant_our_father_is_still_alive_and_well。“_And_they_bowed_low_to_pay_him_honor。
他们回答：“尊贵的大人，我们的父亲还健在，身体尚好。”
他们又向约瑟深深鞠躬，答谢他的慰问。
43:29__As_he_looked_about_and_saw_his_brother_Benjamin，_his_own_mother＇s_son，_he_asked，_“Is_this_your_youngest_brother，_the_one_you_told_me_about?“_And_he_said，_“God_be_gracious_to_you，_my_son。“
约瑟环顾众人，看到同母亲所生的弟弟便雅悯，说：“这就是你们上次所说的，那个最小的弟弟吧。”
他停顿了一下，接着说：“愿上帝赐福于你，我的孩子。”
43:30__Deeply_moved_at_the_sight_of_his_brother，_Joseph_hurried_out_and_looked_for_a_place_to_weep。_He_went_into_his_private_room_and_wept_there。
约瑟看见便雅悯，情绪非常激动，几乎当场流下眼泪。
约瑟急忙避进了自己的房间，大哭了一场。
43:31__After_he_had_washed_his_face，_he_came_out_and，_controlling_himself，_said，_“Serve_the_food。“
哭完之后，约瑟控制了情绪，洗了把脸出来，说：“摆宴吧。”
43:32__They_served_him_by_himself，_the_brothers_by_themselves，_and_the_Egyptians_who_ate_with_him_by_themselves，_because_Egyptians_could_not_eat_with_Hebrews，_for_that_is_detestable_to_Egyptians。
仆人们为约瑟摆了一桌宴席，又为约瑟的一众兄弟摆了一桌宴席，再为随同约瑟的埃及人摆了一桌宴席。
——这是因为埃及的礼仪，埃及人若是跟希伯来人同席吃饭，那是一种羞辱。
43:33__The_men_had_been_seated_before_him_in_the_order_of_their_ages，_from_the_firstborn_to_the_youngest;_and_they_looked_at_each_other_in_astonishment。
约瑟安排一众兄弟的宴席摆在他前面，又让他们按岁数列席，长子坐在最前头，幼子坐在最后面。
约瑟的一众兄弟很惊讶，彼此对望。
43:34__When_portions_were_served_to_them_from_Joseph＇s_table，_Benjamin＇s_portion_was_five_times_as_much_as_anyone_else＇s。_So_they_feasted_and_drank_freely_with_him。
约瑟把自己的食物分赐给他们，便雅悯获得的食物，比其他兄弟多了五倍。
约瑟的一众兄弟放下心中的忧虑，与约瑟饮酒共乐。
