35:1___Then_God_said_to_Jacob，_“Go_up_to_Bethel_and_settle_there，_and_build_an_altar_there_to_God，_who_appeared_to_you_when_you_were_fleeing_from_your_brother_Esau。“
上帝对雅各说：“昔年，你为逃避你哥哥以扫的毒手，远赴哈兰的途中，我曾在伯特利对你显现。”
“如今，你要返回伯特利，为我修筑一座祭坛，并在那里居住下来。”
35:2___So_Jacob_said_to_his_household_and_to_all_who_were_with_him，_“Get_rid_of_the_foreign_gods_you_have_with_you，_and_purify_yourselves_and_change_your_clothes。
雅各对家人以及所有的随从说：“你们马上摒弃所有的异族神像，并沐浴更衣。”
35:3___Then_come，_let_us_go_up_to_Bethel，_where_I_will_build_an_altar_to_God，_who_answered_me_in_the_day_of_my_distress_and_who_has_been_with_me_wherever_I_have_gone。“
“你们跟我去伯特利，我要在那里为上帝修筑一座祭坛。
“无论我身在何地、无论我经历什么困境，上帝始终在看顾着我。”
35:4___So_they_gave_Jacob_all_the_foreign_gods_they_had_and_the_rings_in_their_ears，_and_Jacob_buried_them_under_the_oak_at_Shechem。
家人及随从就把异族神像和佩戴的耳环上交给雅各，他把那些东西埋在示剑城的一棵橡树下。
35:5___Then_they_set_out，_and_the_terror_of_God_fell_upon_the_towns_all_around_them_so_that_no_one_pursued_them。
然后，雅各就带着家人以及所有随从前往伯特利。
他们一路上经过许多城邑，那些居民因为畏惧上帝，没人敢去追击他们。
35:6___Jacob_and_all_the_people_with_him_came_to_Luz_(that_is，_Bethel)_in_the_land_of_Canaan。
雅各带着家人以及所有随从，来到了路斯。
路斯也就是伯特利，位于迦南地区的南面。
35:7___There_he_built_an_altar，_and_he_called_the_place_El_Bethel，_because_it_was_there_that_God_revealed_himself_to_him_when_he_was_fleeing_from_his_brother。
雅各修筑了一座祭坛，取名为伊勒伯特利（希伯来语：伯特利的上帝）。
因为，雅各在逃避哥哥以扫的旅途中，上帝曾在这里向他显现。
35:8___Now_Deborah，_Rebekah＇s_nurse，_died_and_was_buried_under_the_oak_below_Bethel。_So_it_was_named_Allon_Bacuth。
利百加的乳母底波拉死了，利百加把她埋葬在伯特利的一棵橡树下，并把那棵橡树起名为亚伦巴古（即：哭泣的橡树）。
35:9___After_Jacob_returned_from_Paddan_Aram，_God_appeared_to_him_again_and_blessed_him。
雅各从巴旦亚兰地区回归时，上帝再次对他显现，并赐福给他。
35:10__God_said_to_him，_“Your_name_is_Jacob，_but_you_will_no_longer_be_called_Jacob;_your_name_will_be_Israel。“_So_he_named_him_Israel。
上帝对雅各说：“你从前的名字叫雅各，今后就不要再用那名字了，你要名为以色列。”
此后，雅各就改名为以色列。
35:11__And_God_said_to_him，_“I_am_God_Almighty;_be_fruitful_and_increase_in_number。_A_nation_and_a_community_of_nations_will_come_from_you，_and_kings_will_come_from_your_body。
上帝又说：“我乃是全能的上帝，我会使你的后裔兴旺繁盛。”
“大地上的诸多民族将因你而起，诸多的君王也将因你而出。”
35:12__The_land_I_gave_to_Abraham_and_Isaac_I_also_give_to_you，_and_I_will_give_this_land_to_your_descendants_after_you。“
“那应赐予亚伯拉罕和以撒的土地，我会赐予给你，以及你的后裔。”
35:13__Then_God_went_up_from_him_at_the_place_where_he_had_talked_with_him。
上帝说完后，就升空而去。
35:14__Jacob_set_up_a_stone_pillar_at_the_place_where_God_had_talked_with_him，_and_he_poured_out_a_drink_offering_on_it;_he_also_poured_oil_on_it。
以色列在上帝说话的地方，立了一根石柱，又在石柱上淋酒和浇油膏，进行敬拜。
35:15__Jacob_called_the_place_where_God_had_talked_with_him_Bethel。
以色列把那地方称为伯特利（即上帝的家）。
35:16__Then_they_moved_on_from_Bethel。_While_they_were_still_some_distance_from_Ephrath，_Rachel_began_to_give_birth_and_had_great_difficulty。
后来，以色列带领家人由从伯特利向以法方向迁徙。
然而，在他们差不多要到达以法时，拉结忽然临产，而且是难产。
35:17__And_as_she_was_having_great_difficulty_in_childbirth，_the_midwife_said_to_her，_“Don＇t_be_afraid，_for_you_have_another_son。“
在拉结艰难分娩时，接生妇人对她说：“你不要害怕，你又要生下一个儿子了。”
35:18__As_she_breathed_her_last--for_she_was_dying--she_named_her_son_Ben-Oni。_But_his_father_named_him_Benjamin。
拉结拼命生下了第二个儿子，弥留之际，她给新生的儿子取名为便俄尼（希伯来语：愁苦的儿子）。
以色列却把他的名字改为便雅悯（希伯来语：好运气的儿子）。
35:19__So_Rachel_died_and_was_buried_on_the_way_to_Ephrath_(that_is，_Bethlehem)。
拉结因难产而死，以色列把她埋葬在通往以法的道路旁边。（以法也即是伯利恒）
35:20__Over_her_tomb_Jacob_set_up_a_pillar，_and_to_this_day_that_pillar_marks_Rachel＇s_tomb。
以色列在拉结的坟前立了一根柱子，作为墓碑。
时至今日，那根柱子依然屹立在那里。
35:21__Israel_moved_on_again_and_pitched_his_tent_beyond_Migdal_Eder。
以色列带领家人继续迁徙，他们穿过了以得台，扎下营地。
35:22__While_Israel_was_living_in_that_region，_Reuben_went_in_and_slept_with_his_father＇s_concubine_Bilhah，_and_Israel_heard_of_it。_Jacob_had_twelve_sons:
在那里停留期间，流便与父亲的伺妾辟拉共寝，以色列知道了此事。
以色列一共有十二个儿子。
35:23__The_sons_of_Leah:_Reuben_the_firstborn_of_Jacob，_Simeon，_Levi，_Judah，_Issachar_and_Zebulun。
流便是利亚所生的长子。
利亚后来生下的儿子是：西缅、利未、犹大、以萨迦、西布伦。
35:24__The_sons_of_Rachel:_Joseph_and_Benjamin。
拉结生下的儿子是：约瑟、便雅悯。
35:25__The_sons_of_Rachel＇s_maidservant_Bilhah:_Dan_and_Naphtali。
拉结的女仆辟拉，生下的儿子是：但、拿弗他利。
35:26__The_sons_of_Leah＇s_maidservant_Zilpah:_Gad_and_Asher。_These_were_the_sons_of_Jacob，_who_were_born_to_him_in_Paddan_Aram。
利亚的女仆悉帕，生下的儿子是：迦得、亚设。
这十二个儿子，都是以色列在巴旦亚兰地区所生的。
35:27__Jacob_came_home_to_his_father_Isaac_in_Mamre，_near_Kiriath_Arba_(that_is，_Hebron)，_where_Abraham_and_Isaac_had_stayed。
后来，以色列回到父亲以撒家中。
以撒居住在幔利地区，面对着基列亚巴（即是希伯仑），亚伯拉罕和以撒都是寄居在此地。
35:28__Isaac_lived_a_hundred_and_eighty_years。
以撒一共活了一百八十岁。
35:29__Then_he_breathed_his_last_and_died_and_was_gathered_to_his_people，_old_and_full_of_years。_And_his_sons_Esau_and_Jacob_buried_him。
以撒的寿命虽然悠长，最终还是气绝而亡，灵魂归于祖先。
他的儿子以扫和以色列安葬了他。
