39:1___Now_Joseph_had_been_taken_down_to_Egypt。_Potiphar，_an_Egyptian_who_was_one_of_Pharaoh＇s_officials，_the_captain_of_the_guard，_bought_him_from_the_Ishmaelites_who_had_taken_him_there。
约瑟被以实玛利商人带到埃及，埃及人波提乏把他买了回去。
波提乏是法老的官员，任职侍卫长。
39:2___The_LORD_was_with_Joseph_and_he_prospered，_and_he_lived_in_the_house_of_his_Egyptian_master。
约瑟得到耶和华的看顾，在埃及主人的家中，事事顺利。
39:3___When_his_master_saw_that_the_LORD_was_with_him_and_that_the_LORD_gave_him_success_in_everything_he_did，
波提乏见约瑟所做的每一件事情，都非常顺当，就知道他是蒙受耶和华赐福的人。
39:4___Joseph_found_favor_in_his_eyes_and_became_his_attendant。_Potiphar_put_him_in_charge_of_his_household，_and_he_entrusted_to_his_care_everything_he_owned。
波提乏提拔约瑟为自己的侍从，将家中的事务都交给他管理。
39:5___From_the_time_he_put_him_in_charge_of_his_household_and_of_all_that_he_owned，_the_LORD_blessed_the_household_of_the_Egyptian_because_of_Joseph。_The_blessing_of_the_LORD_was_on_everything_Potiphar_had，_both_in_the_house_and_in_the_field。
约瑟负责管理波提乏的家事后，耶和华因为约瑟的缘故，赐福给波提乏家。
波提乏家中的财富和田地里的产出，日益增长。
39:6___So_he_left_in_Joseph＇s_care_everything_he_had;_with_Joseph_in_charge，_he_did_not_concern_himself_with_anything_except_the_food_he_ate。_Now_Joseph_was_well-built_and_handsome，
波提乏就放心让约瑟管理家中的一切事务，他除了自己的饮食外，其它的一概不管。
约瑟体格健壮，样貌俊美，
39:7___and_after_a_while_his_master＇s_wife_took_notice_of_Joseph_and_said，_“Come_to_bed_with_me!“
波提乏的妻子爱慕约瑟，就挑逗他，说：“你来床上和我一起睡觉吧！”
39:8___But_he_refused。_“With_me_in_charge，“_he_told_her，_“my_master_does_not_concern_himself_with_anything_in_the_house;_everything_he_owns_he_has_entrusted_to_my_care。
约瑟拒绝了，他说：“我的主人让我管理家中的一切事务，他信任我，所以一切都不闻不问。”
39:9___No_one_is_greater_in_this_house_than_I_am。_My_master_has_withheld_nothing_from_me_except_you，_because_you_are_his_wife。_How_then_could_I_do_such_a_wicked_thing_and_sin_against_God?“
“在这个家中，除了主人以外，就数我的权力最大了。主人把家中的所有人都交给我管理，除了你。”
“你是我主人的妻子，我怎能做这种邪恶的事情？我若是做了这样的事，会获罪于上帝的。”
39:10__And_though_she_spoke_to_Joseph_day_after_day，_he_refused_to_go_to_bed_with_her_or_even_be_with_her。
尽管被拒绝了，波提乏的妻子还是不断的引诱约瑟，约瑟只得尽量避开她。
39:11__One_day_he_went_into_the_house_to_attend_to_his_duties，_and_none_of_the_household_servants_was_inside。
一天，约瑟到屋里办事，当时屋里没有其他人。
39:12__She_caught_him_by_his_cloak_and_said，_“Come_to_bed_with_me!“_But_he_left_his_cloak_in_her_hand_and_ran_out_of_the_house。
波提乏的妻子就扯着约瑟的衣服，说：“你来床上和我一起睡觉吧！”
约瑟慌忙脱掉被她扯着的外衣，跑到屋外去。
39:13__When_she_saw_that_he_had_left_his_cloak_in_her_hand_and_had_run_out_of_the_house，
波提乏的妻子见约瑟跑掉了，外衣却是留在她手中，
39:14__she_called_her_household_servants。_“Look，“_she_said_to_them，_“this_Hebrew_has_been_brought_to_us_to_make_sport_of_us!_He_came_in_here_to_sleep_with_me，_but_I_screamed。
波提乏的妻子就叫来家中的仆人，说：“你们看这衣服！那个新来的希伯来人，意图对我不轨，他来到屋里，强迫我和他睡觉，我就大声呼救。”
39:15__When_he_heard_me_scream_for_help，_he_left_his_cloak_beside_me_and_ran_out_of_the_house。“
“那个希伯来人听到我喊叫，慌得连衣服都来不及穿，就逃了出去。”
39:16__She_kept_his_cloak_beside_her_until_his_master_came_home。
她将约瑟的外衣放在身边，等待波提乏返回家中。
39:17__Then_she_told_him_this_story:_“That_Hebrew_slave_you_brought_us_came_to_me_to_make_sport_of_me。
她是这样对波提乏说的：“你买回来的那个希伯来仆人，他意图对我不轨。”
39:18__But_as_soon_as_I_screamed_for_help，_he_left_his_cloak_beside_me_and_ran_out_of_the_house。“
“我马上大声呼救，他慌得连衣服都来不及穿，逃到外面去了。”
39:19__When_his_master_heard_the_story_his_wife_told_him，_saying，_“This_is_how_your_slave_treated_me，“_he_burned_with_anger。
“是你让仆人这样对待我的吗？”
波提乏听了，怒不可遏。
39:20__Joseph＇s_master_took_him_and_put_him_in_prison，_the_place_where_the_king＇s_prisoners_were_confined。_But_while_Joseph_was_there_in_the_prison，
波提乏把约瑟关到监狱里。
约瑟所在的监狱，是专门用来关押埃及法老的囚犯。
39:21__the_LORD_was_with_him;_he_showed_him_kindness_and_granted_him_favor_in_the_eyes_of_the_prison_warden。
耶和华看顾约瑟，赐福给他，使他获得监狱长的赏识。
39:22__So_the_warden_put_Joseph_in_charge_of_all_those_held_in_the_prison，_and_he_was_made_responsible_for_all_that_was_done_there。
监狱长让约瑟处理监狱的一切事务，又把所有囚犯交给他管理。
39:23__The_warden_paid_no_attention_to_anything_under_Joseph＇s_care，_because_the_LORD_was_with_Joseph_and_gave_him_success_in_whatever_he_did。
监狱长信任约瑟，让他管理监狱的所有事务，自己一概不闻不问。
在耶和华的看顾下，约瑟事事都非常顺当。
