28:1___So_Isaac_called_for_Jacob_and_blessed_him_and_commanded_him:_“Do_not_marry_a_Canaanite_woman。
以撒叫来雅各，为他祝福，说：“你不可娶迦南女子为妻。”
28:2___Go_at_once_to_Paddan_Aram，_to_the_house_of_your_mother＇s_father_Bethuel。_Take_a_wife_for_yourself_there，_from_among_the_daughters_of_Laban，_your_mother＇s_brother。
“你要前往巴旦亚兰，去到你外祖父彼土利的家中，在你舅舅拉班所生的女儿当中，挑选一个作为妻子。”
28:3___May_God_Almighty_bless_you_and_make_you_fruitful_and_increase_your_numbers_until_you_become_a_community_of_peoples。
“愿全能的上帝赐福你，使你的子裔繁衍生息，开创出一个强盛的民族。”
28:4___May_he_give_you_and_your_descendants_the_blessing_given_to_Abraham，_so_that_you_may_take_possession_of_the_land_where_you_now_live_as_an_alien，_the_land_God_gave_to_Abraham。“
“愿上帝将对亚伯拉罕的赐福，转赐给你和你的子裔，使你和你的子裔能成为寄住土地的主人，正如上帝当初对亚伯拉罕的承诺一样。”
28:5___Then_Isaac_sent_Jacob_on_his_way，_and_he_went_to_Paddan_Aram，_to_Laban_son_of_Bethuel_the_Aramean，_the_brother_of_Rebekah，_who_was_the_mother_of_Jacob_and_Esau。
祝福过后，以撒就让雅各前往巴旦亚兰，去他舅舅拉班家中寻找他的妻子。
拉班是亚兰人，是彼土利的儿子，利百加的哥哥。
28:6___Now_Esau_learned_that_Isaac_had_blessed_Jacob_and_had_sent_him_to_Paddan_Aram_to_take_a_wife_from_there，_and_that_when_he_blessed_him_he_commanded_him，_“Do_not_marry_a_Canaanite_woman，“
以撒祝福雅各，并让他去巴旦亚兰娶妻，又切切叮嘱‘你不可娶迦南女子为妻’——这一切，以扫都看在眼里。
28:7___and_that_Jacob_had_obeyed_his_father_and_mother_and_had_gone_to_Paddan_Aram。
以扫又见到雅各遵循父母的安排，马上动身前往巴旦亚兰。
28:8___Esau_then_realized_how_displeasing_the_Canaanite_women_were_to_his_father_Isaac;
以扫就明白过来，原来父亲以撒不喜欢他的那两个迦南妻子。
28:9___so_he_went_to_Ishmael_and_married_Mahalath，_the_sister_of_Nebaioth_and_daughter_of_Ishmael_son_of_Abraham，_in_addition_to_the_wives_he_already_had。
以扫于是去了伯父以实玛利家中，娶玛哈拉为第三个妻子。
以实玛利是亚伯拉罕的大儿子，玛哈拉是他的女儿，玛哈拉有一个哥哥，名叫尼拜约。
28:10__Jacob_left_Beersheba_and_set_out_for_Haran。
雅各离开别是巴，前往哈兰。
28:11__When_he_reached_a_certain_place，_he_stopped_for_the_night_because_the_sun_had_set。_Taking_one_of_the_stones_there，_he_put_it_under_his_head_and_lay_down_to_sleep。
一天，雅各来到一个地方，当时太阳已经落山了，他就捡了一块石头当做枕头，躺下睡觉。
28:12__He_had_a_dream_in_which_he_saw_a_stairway_resting_on_the_earth，_with_its_top_reaching_to_heaven，_and_the_angels_of_God_were_ascending_and_descending_on_it。
雅各做了一个梦。
他在梦中看到一道直通天地的巨大阶梯，许多天使沿着阶梯上下往返。
28:13__There_above_it_stood_the_LORD，_and_he_said:_“I_am_the_LORD，_the_God_of_your_father_Abraham_and_the_God_of_Isaac。_I_will_give_you_and_your_descendants_the_land_on_which_you_are_lying。
耶和华站在阶梯的顶端，对他说：“我乃是耶和华上帝，也就是你祖父亚伯拉罕、你父亲以撒一直虔诚事奉的上帝。”
“你如今躺卧的土地，我会赐给你和你的后裔。”
28:14__Your_descendants_will_be_like_the_dust_of_the_earth，_and_you_will_spread_out_to_the_west_and_to_the_east，_to_the_north_and_to_the_south。_All_peoples_on_earth_will_be_blessed_through_you_and_your_offspring。
“你的后裔将会繁盛无比，就如那地上的微尘一般，不可胜数。”
“你的后裔将会遍布大地的四方，在大地上生活在人类，都将因你和你的后裔得到幸福。”
28:15__I_am_with_you_and_will_watch_over_you_wherever_you_go，_and_I_will_bring_you_back_to_this_land。_I_will_not_leave_you_until_I_have_done_what_I_have_promised_you。“
“我会一直看顾你，无论你身处何方，我都会指引你回归这片属于你的土地。”
“我不会离弃你，直至我完成对你的承诺。”
28:16__When_Jacob_awoke_from_his_sleep，_he_thought，_“Surely_the_LORD_is_in_this_place，_and_I_was_not_aware_of_it。“
雅各醒来，心里想：“耶和华竟是居住在这里，我之前怎么一点都不知道！”
28:17__He_was_afraid_and_said，_“How_awesome_is_this_place!_This_is_none_other_than_the_house_of_God;_this_is_the_gate_of_heaven。“
雅各心中敬畏，说：“我刚才梦见的地方是多么神圣，那一定是上帝居住的神殿。如此说来，这里就是通往天堂的门户了。”
28:18__Early_the_next_morning_Jacob_took_the_stone_he_had_placed_under_his_head_and_set_it_up_as_a_pillar_and_poured_oil_on_top_of_it。
第二天一早，雅各把昨晚当枕头的那块石头，立成一根石柱，又在柱上浇了油膏。
28:19__He_called_that_place_Bethel，_though_the_city_used_to_be_called_Luz。
那个地方叫做路斯，雅各为它取了一个新的名字：伯特利（希伯来语：上帝的家）。
28:20__Then_Jacob_made_a_vow，_saying，_“If_God_will_be_with_me_and_will_watch_over_me_on_this_journey_I_am_taking_and_will_give_me_food_to_eat_and_clothes_to_wear
雅各发下誓愿，说：“上帝若是看顾我，在接下来的旅途中，就让我衣食无忧，”
28:21__so_that_I_return_safely_to_my_father＇s_house，_then_the_LORD_will_be_my_God
“我安全返回父亲家中后，我就事奉耶和华为我的上帝。”
28:22__and_this_stone_that_I_have_set_up_as_a_pillar_will_be_God＇s_house，_and_of_all_that_you_give_me_I_will_give_you_a_tenth。“
“我如今竖立的这根石柱，将来会成为我祭拜上帝的地方。”
“日后我所得到的一切财物，我必将十分之一奉献给上帝。”
